For Sale: Alternative to a Vintage Watch Cleaning Machine
A rotation based watch cleaner achieves a significant more brilliant effect on your watch parts than Ultrasonic Cleaners.
It is a much more satisfying experience to reassemble a watchwork cleaned with a Watch Washing Machine. Rotation-based is a total game changer and used to come with a high price for a good reason. This model is the first specifically designed for a private audience.

Watch Washing Machine as alternative to Ultrasonic Cleaning
The limitation that ultrasonic waves must be transmitted effectively does not apply here. This results in the advantage over ultrasonic devices through the use of strong solvents, such as waterless liquids, with the simplest being benzin. These solvents are essential for removing decades-old grime from watch movements and jewelry. Additionally, steel parts do not rust in waterless solutions, and the rotation effect ensures a continuous flow of liquid over the surface, leaving a shiny finish. The before-and-after effect is typically remarkable.

Larger parts, such as the main plate of a wristwatch movement, can be placed directly into the basket. The delivery includes two glasses, one for cleaning and one for rinsing, such as with distilled water. However, drying the parts must be done externally, for example with a hairdryer or at a low temperature in the oven.
Scope of Delivery:

Limitation
The device is only to be used for metallic small parts, such as those found in wristwatch movements. Please refer to the accompanying safety sheet (link below) and the user manual (included)!

A professional clockmaker washing machine is usually huge (and expensive). I went with this compact machine not to put my marriage in jeopardy (it sits on the countertop in the kitchen).
Used with waterless cleaning / rinsing solutions, the result is really good. Give your parts a quick hand cleaning first if there’s rust to get rid off. And you’ll be happy with the results.
Let me add that the machine looks and feel very sturdy.
So my first movement was cleaned with this new wonderful machine. The watch was a rather dirty Waltham Traveler pocket watch from 1903 (model 1899). The cleaner worked spot on, I am very satisfied. The parts came out spotless and the whole process didn't take long and was very quiet. I washed the parts in Elma 1:9, then dried them in an empty pot and then rinsed them in Elma Suprol Pro Rinsing, as I always do. The 'shine' on the parts is much better than with the ultrasonic, but I already knew that. What is more important to me is that the jewel holes and other small details came also out very clean. The compact size of the machine didn't took much space of my workbench at all. Compared with the bulky usual setups. All in all, I am very satisfied and the credit goes to Torsten as an engineer and creator.
