Rotational Watch Cleaning Machine for Watchmakers
Compact watch cleaning machine for use with hexane, petroleum, and other professional cleaning solutions. Ensures thorough and gentle cleaning of mechanical watch movements, resulting in visibly brighter components and a restored natural shine. Made in Germany.
Functionality
Left knob for speed control: 30 to 1800 rpm. Left/Right automatically with 30 seconds interval.
Right knob: Timer, 2 minutes to 15 min or unlimited.
The basket, when closed, has an interior with a diameter of 70 mm and a height of 45 mm. The trays have an inner diameter of 62 mm.
Example Usage
Cleaning Procedure – by a London Watchmaker
Elma Red 1:9. Mix exactly as specified by the manufacturer: 1 part Elma, 9 parts water.
Cleaning sequence:
- 9 minutes cleaning with Elma Red 1:9 at low speed
- 3 minutes spin dry at higher speed (remove Elma)
- 6 minutes rinse with distilled water at low speed
- 3 minutes spin dry at higher speed (remove water)
- 6 minutes rinse with Elma Suprol at low speed
- 3 minutes spin dry at higher speed (remove Suprol)
Air dry afterwards.
Approx. 450 ml solution per glass.
Elma Red 1:9 lasts approx. 20 cleaning cycles (until color fades and solution turns cloudy).
Approximate cost per watch: £0.40 (€0.50).
